Garden Cart
The final project of my first semester, this project focused on ergonomics and innovation. Our goal was to design a gardening cart which was unique from something already on the market, so we had to do lots of market research. We also had to think heavily about how a person might interact with the design, and how to make the interaction with the product unique.
Ultimately, I settled on a smaller, cubic cart with a foldable handle. The distinct aspect of the design was it’s ability to be carried on the users back, which allowed for easier transport over rough terrain or other areas that may be difficult to access by normal, wheeled carts.
Although not anything super groundbreaking, I found the design unique and creative, and I feel like I ended the semester strongly.
