Cooler Project
This project was a submission for the 2024 International Housewares Association competition. The competition was divided into several basic categories, such as kitchen appliances, cleaning devices, pet products, and outdoor products.
For my project, I settled on a hard-molded cooler called CoolCrate. Designed to solve the problem of groceries melting, the versatility and form factor of the design targeted a gap in the market which was overall lacking when looking at other products on the market.
This project was intense, and focused heavily on analyzing the problem, market research, and persona usage.
Deliverables included a mockup of the design to help communicate form factor, sketches, both crude and refined, to show the though process behind the design, and high quality renderings which showcased the product in scenarios that they may be found in in the real world. Overall and intense project, but one that I learned a lot from regarding the thought process of the final user.
